Race Directors for the RunSTRONG 5K to participate in the Five Mile Hill Challenge!
RunSTRONG 5k Race Directors Scott McKeel and Lauren L’ Huillier were asked and selected to participate in the 5 Mile Hill Challenge this year to raise money for the Nayamba School in rural Zambia along with eight other people from the Grand Haven community.
Scott was able to participate in this event last year and helped raise part of the over $20,000 for this school! That was enough to raise money to feed every student in the school (160 students) three meals per day for an ENTIRE year. Additionally, it paid for a teacher’s salary for the ENTIRE year. It paid for school supplies for the children, teachers, and even a water pump to support the school with clean water.
The link HERE goes to the pledge form with more details on the event which will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at 6:00 pm in front of the beach in Grand Haven at Emmet St (infamously known as 5-mile-hill). We would love to have your support!
Please consider making a pledge today to help the Nayamba School!
