Olivia’s Story – Finding Her Voice Again

Olivia’s Story – Finding Her Voice Again

“Before going to therapy, my voice was very hoarse, gravelly, and would give out while I was talking. Some days I would lose my voice entirely. I would constantly feel like I was straining to talk at all. Therapy gave me specific goals and exercises that have helped to drastically improve my voice quality. Things like drinking more water, practicing strategies that would help me to be more gentle on my vocal cords, and neck exercises that would loosen my neck muscles and cause less strain have shown nearly immediate results. My voice is so much better. It is almost completely back to normal, and singing or conversation is something that I can do easily again. I really appreciated the patience and the accountability that my therapist provided. Overall, therapy was an invaluable support system that helped me to get my voice back.”
