GROUP EXCERCISE

With classes available in the pool or on land, you can keep your fitness momentum going in a group setting. (MySTEPs Gym membership not required to attend Group Classes)

Muskegon Location Group Classes

Pricing:

1 class per week – $25/month (includes Hope Floats and RunSTRONG)

2 classes per week – $55/month (includes Gentle Joint Fit and Gentle Joint Move)

Parkinson’s Aqua Group – $6 per class – Buy 9 classes and the 10th class is FREE

Aquatic Classes

Parkinson’s Aqua Group

A pool class, open to people with Parkinson’s Disease or for those who are neurologically impaired.

Gentle Joint Move

This is a gentle paced class that addresses the whole body and focuses on achieving full range of motion with minimal impact through the joints. This class includes pain-free stretching, balance training and strengthening in the warm pool environment. This is a therapist led class designed for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, joint stiffness, balance deficits, and mobility restrictions. Class is limited to 10 participants.

Gentle Joint Fit

This is a moderately paced class that addresses the whole body with minimal impact through the joints. This class includes stretching, strength building, core stabilization, cardiovascular training, and high level balance training in the warm pool environment. This is a therapist led class designed for those who would like to get in better shape but struggle to do so on land due to joint pain. Class is limited to 10 participants.

Hope Floats

This program focuses on the unique physical needs of the cancer survivor, combating fatigue – fighting strategies and fun!

LAND BASED CLASSES

RunSTRONG

This class is geared specifically for runners that focuses on improving muscular endurance, running form, core and glute stability, and performance enhancement. This class will take runners through specific exercises that target underutilized muscles necessary for peak running performance and injury prevention. Classes will be held on Thursday nights at 6 PM beginning In November 2017. Contact Melanie Danklefsen for more information!

Gentle Joint Aquacise

This is a therapist led class designed to help those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, joint stiffness, or for those who want a gentle paced class.

LAND BASED CLASSES

Cardio Fitness

Come to this class for cardio and toning exercises! Floor aerobics, kickboxing, circuit training, and turbo ball are some of the activities that will be per-formed in this class.

Mat Pilates

Class includes comprehensive core and traditional Pilates concepts: strength, flexibility, and training strategies.

Tai Chi

Perfected over hundreds of years! Provides balance challenge while strengthening, using slow, graceful motions; each posture focuses on motor control, weight shifting, and provides benefits to every body system.

Zumba

Dance party to tone your core, arms, and legs while you improve cardiovascular fitness. Zumba love!

RunSTRONG

A class geared specifically for runners that focuses on improving muscular endurance, running form, core and glute stability, and performance enhancement. This class will take runners through specific exercises that target underutilized muscles necessary for peak running performance and injury prevention. With this class, you have the option to sign up for 1 or 2 days a week held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm.
