In today’s climate with restrictions on many public areas and activities, getting out as a family can be difficult. You may find yourself sitting on the couch binge-watching your favorite shows to make the time pass. It’s important to remember to stay active and healthy!
There are many great ways to get everyone in the house active without traveling far.
Pack up the family for a nice walk around the neighborhood
While the weather still holds up, it’s a great time to take a quick stroll around the neighborhood. If your kids are currently attending online school, they’re probably missing some recess time. Bring the pets with you for even more fun.
Play an active video game
There are tons of games you can play inside right in front of your TV that will get your blood pumping! Try dancing games like “Just Dance” that will get the family moving but are still enjoyable. Set aside some time every week to do this!
Last-minute yard work
For those who are trying to spruce up their yard before the snow falls! Grab the kids and tackle some gardening or yard work while the weather is still nice. Yard work is a great way to get in your exercise plus some chores!
Have a dance party!
This one is easy and simple! Crank up the tunes and have a dance party! Listen to a little bit of everyone’s favorite music and have a good time. You’ll start feeling tired pretty quickly!
